How to Troubleshoot and Provide Agent Logs
When troubleshooting agent issues, it's often necessary to gather logs from the agent. To help us resolve your issue as quickly as possible, please follow the steps below to retrieve and submit the necessary log files.
Steps to Retrieve Agent Logs:
Access the Logs Directory:
- You will need an SFTP client to access the agent logs. We recommend using WinSCP for Windows, but any SFTP client should work.
Connect to the Server:
- Open your SFTP client and connect to the server where the agent is installed using the appropriate credentials.
Navigate to the Logs Directory:
- Once connected, navigate to the following directory:
- Inside this directory, you will find a folder named logs.
Copy the Logs Directory:
- Download or copy the entire logs folder to your local machine.
Compress the Logs:
- After downloading the logs, compress the logs folder into a single file (e.g., ZIP or TAR format) for easier transfer.
Submit the Logs:
- Once the folder is compressed, send the file to us via email with the subject line "Agent Logs - [Your Company Name]."
Note:
- If the logs are too large to send via email, please reach out to us for alternative transfer options.
By providing these logs, you'll enable us to quickly identify and resolve the issue.
