CYMETRICX Cloud Insight Integration


Azure Setup Steps
Here are the steps to create a user in Azure and assign a global read-only permission/role to it:
  1. Login to Azure portal.
  2. Go to Azure Active Directory > Users.
  3. Click on "New user" button in the top menu.
  4. Fill in the required information to create a new user.
  5. Click "Create".
  6. Find the user you just created in the list and click on it to open the user profile.
  7. Click on "Role assignments" in the left navigation.
  8. Click "Add role assignment".
  9. Choose "Global Reader" role and assign it to the user by clicking "Save".
  10. The user now has the global read-only role in Azure.
Note: These steps assume that you have the necessary permissions to create and assign roles in Azure.




AWS Setup Steps

To create a user in AWS and assign a global read-only permission to it, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to the AWS Management Console
  2. Go to the IAM (Identity and Access Management) service.
  3. Click on Users in the left navigation menu.
  4. Click on the "Add user" button.
  5. Enter a user name and select "Programmatic access" as the access type.
  6. Click on the "Next: Permissions" button.
  7. Click on the "Attach existing policies directly" option.
  8. Search for "AmazonS3ReadOnlyAccess" policy and select it.
  9. Repeat the previous step to add "AWSReadOnlyAccess" policy.
  10. Click on the "Next: Tags" button and skip it if desired.
  11. Click on the "Next: Review" button.
  12. Review the settings and click on the "Create user" button.
  13. Save the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key for the newly created user.
The user will now have read-only access to all AWS resources in your account.
