What is the Authorized Scan IP Feature?

This functionality is designed to provide users with a specfic IP address dedicated to conducting various types of security scans, including ports scans, technology scans, and vulnerability assessments. the purpose of Authorized Scan is to ensure that these crucial security checks are recognized and premitted by an oragnization's security systems, such as Web Application Firewalls and Firewall Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).

How to enable the Authorized Scan IP?

  1. Log in into Attackmetricx account by entering your credentials ( Username, Passwords).
  2. Navigate the Settings menu, once you logged in, find the "Settings" option, find in the dashboard's sidebar. Under this, look for the "Authorized Scan".
  3. Turn On Authorized Scan In the “Authorized Scan” section, there will typically be a toggle switch or a button labelled “Turn Authorized Scan On”. Clicking this will activate the feature and display the dedicated IP address.
  4. Whitelist the IP Address Once the IP address is displayed, you should enter this address into the whitelist settings of your security systems, such as your firewall and other intrusion detection systems.
